Frequent Asked Questions

Where are you located?

We are located in the same office as Patrick Rentals and Sales, Inc. For location and directions click here.

Are your units climate controlled?

We offer conventional storage units that are kept clean, dry, and rodent free. They, however, are not cooled in summer or heated in the winter.

What kind of lock do I need?

When you rent a unit from McDonough Parkway Mini-Storage you are provided with one free lock. You are given the lock and all the keys that go with it. We do not store any key that can open your lock. If you happen to lose the keys that we provide you, the lock will have to be drilled out and you will have to purchase a new lock.

What do I need to move in?

When you come in to rent a unit we will ask to make a copy of a valid driver's license or state issued ID. Along with the identification you will need to provide us with two phone numbers so that we can contact you if needed.

What does it cost to move in?

The cost to move in is based on the unit you plan to rent and the time of the month you move in. The cost is a prorated amount per day.

When and how do I make my payment?

The rent is due at the first of the month. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. We also accept cash and checks, but please do not send in cash by mail.

What size do I need?

The size of the unit that you require will depend on the items that you will be packing. Boxes stack a lot easier than furniture, and therefore you can fit a lot more in a smaller amount of space. When it comes to oddly shaped items like couches and chairs, more space is required. A 10ft.x10ft. unit can usually hold about 2 bedrooms worth of furniture. If you have appliances it can often be necessary to move up to a larger unit. You are welcome to come by and look at our facilities before deciding. If for some reason, you get a unit that is too small or too large it's no problem to move up or down, as long as availability permits.
